How do I go about registering (download registration form) ?
A. Those wishing to study at the University of Technology Delft must be in possession of a "letter of acceptance".
The Admissions Office issues such declarations to those who meet the entrance conditions laid down by the university. The declaration also stipulates in which subjects supplementary entrance tests have to be completed before one is able to gain entrance to the TU Delft. For inquiries the Admissions Office can be reached by telephone from Mondays through Thursdays from 9.00 till 11.00 hours. Telephone number: (015) 2788012. The address is: O&S Building TU Delft, Jaffalaan 9a/corner Mekelweg.
Step 1:
You go to the Admissions Office first. There you will be issued a registration set. This set will include a registration card and a letter for the Institute of Technology and Communication, administration department (Jaffalaan 5).
Step 2:
To enrol for a Dutch course, you must first pay (by transfer from your bank account or in cash at the post office) the tuition fee of 425 Euro (for students with letter of acceptance from the TU Delft) or 725 Euro into Postbank account no. 125543 of TU Delft, TBM/Taalkunde, Jaffalaan 5, Delft, mentioning the student’s name, his/her date of birth, and the name of the course in question.

Step 3:
Take the registration set and the proof of payment to the administration office of the Institute of Technology and Communication, Jaffalaan 5, room b1.230 in order to register.
B. If you have already a TU student pass.
The above mentioned steps are not applicable to those who already have registered as a student of TU Delft: they are requested to go straight to the Applied Linguistic Unit, with a letter of their faculty in which it is stated that the faculty will pay the course fee.
Master’s students and exchange students need to be able to proof that they are registered as such. For them the Elementary I and II courses are for free. Should they want to follow another course than the above mentioned ones, they need to show a proof of payment.
C. If you are not intending to subsequently study at TU Delft.
You can go directly to the administration office of the Institute of Technology and Communication, Jaffalaan 5, in order to register. Do not forget to bring your proof of payment. If the tuition fee is paid by an organisation, for instance UAF, you need to bring a letter of that organisation stating that they will pay the course fee.
Important Payment conditions
A. It is not possible to pay the course fee in instalments or to only pay part of the fee!
B. Those who fail to pass the tests set for either the first or the second part of the Beginners' course may follow one of these course parts at no extra expense, only with permission of the teacher involved. If, afterwards, one still wishes to repeat part of the course one must pay for it again € 725.
C. Should one only wish to resit the examination one must pay, as of the third time of sitting it and at the very latest seven days before the examination, a sum of € 25. Those who choose to pay on the day of the examination will be required to pay € 50.
D. Those who fail to participate in, or who only partly attend the courses for which they have registered may not expect fee restitution.
E. If you do not attend the introduction meeting of the Beginners course, or the first meeting of the other courses, you will loose your right to take part in the course.
The Institute of Technology and Communication reserves the right to at any time amend the information included here relating to the academic year 2003-2004.
